Who we are
This policy covers how Celeste Currie and Project Tempest ("we", "us") collect and use personal data. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect
When you join the Dangerous Dispatch, or request a book, guide or
other free material
Your name and email address, the page or advert you arrived from, and the
date and time you gave consent. Joining the list takes two steps: you
submit the form, then confirm by clicking a link we email you. Until you
click that link you are not subscribed and we send you nothing further.
When you request access to The Den
Your name, email address, and your answer to whether you have read
The Dangerous Woman.
When you use the Assessor or the Sentinel Accelerator
These are conversational tools powered by artificial intelligence. See
"Artificial intelligence tools" below for how they work and what happens to
what you type.
When you buy something
Your name, email address, billing address, and delivery address for physical
items. We do not receive or store your card details - payments are handled
by our payment provider.
When you apply to the Dangerous Woman Society
The information you provide in your application, which may include details
about your work, your circumstances and your reasons for applying.
When you post to a member area
Anything you choose to submit, including runewords, comments and submitted
work.
Automatically
Basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the
pages you visit. Email systems record whether messages are opened and which
links are clicked.
We do not ask for special category data - information about health, beliefs, sexuality or similar. Please do not include it in free-text fields. If you do, we treat it as volunteered and delete it where we can.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether our interest is outweighed by your rights. You can object at any time.
Artificial intelligence tools
Some of our products use AI.
The Assessor sits inside The Den. It asks questions about how you are currently functioning, then suggests a next step.
The Sentinel Accelerator is included with The System. It answers questions about the five-book sequence and helps you work out what to do next. Other versions of the Sentinel exist inside the Deluxe book upgrades to help you navigate the content.
How they work:
- What you type is sent to Anthropic, which operates the Claude models underneath both tools, and processed to generate a reply. Anthropic's privacy policy is at anthropic.com/legal/privacy
- We do not store conversation transcripts and we do not read them
- The Assessor records only two things: the email address you give it, and which of three routing outcomes your conversation reached. Nothing else is retained
- Your conversations are not used to train AI models
These tools suggest a next step. They do not make decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects for you, and no outcome is decided by them alone.
These tools are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. They do not diagnose anything. If you are unwell or in crisis, speak to a qualified professional.
Please do not enter information about other people, or anything you would not want processed by a third party.
Who we share it with
We use the following service providers, who process personal data on our behalf:
- Systeme.io - email, funnels and customer records
- Typeform - forms
- Netlify - website hosting
- Plausible - website traffic measurement, without cookies and without collecting anything that identifies you personally
- Anthropic - the AI models behind the Assessor and Sentinel Accelerator
- Zapier - passing information between the services above
- Substack - newsletter and podcast
- Meta - advertising and audience measurement
- Stripe and Systeme.io - payments
- Google - document storage and delivery
- Zoom - member training and events, when these run
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
- Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record indefinitely so we do not contact you again
- Customers: seven years, for accounting purposes
- Society applications: two years if unsuccessful, or for the duration of membership plus two years
- Assessor outcomes: two years, or until you ask us to delete them
- Assessor and Accelerator conversations: not retained by us
- Member-posted content: until you ask for its removal
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including transport encryption on our sites and access controls on the services listed above. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information sent to us over the internet.
Cookies
This site, celestecurrie.com, sets no cookies on its public pages. Traffic is measured with Plausible, which does not use cookies, and our fonts are served from this site rather than a third party, so no one else sees your visit.
Our other sites use cookies for basic function and for measuring traffic. Where we run Meta advertising, the Meta pixel may be present and will set cookies used for advertising measurement.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of our sites may not work properly if you do.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data deleted
- Restrict or object to how we use it
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, including by using the unsubscribe link in any email
To exercise any of these, email info@celestecurrie.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
Nothing we sell or publish is intended for under-18s, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We update this policy when what we do changes. The date at the top shows the last revision.
